The Problem

people didnt know where runs is and where is the communtiy as where scattered on whatsapp and not organized

What We Built

i build an app for collectinig the ufll running community and the clubs in one app and have people search and find events to join

Results

an app with 700 members in few weeks and 14 clubs from top of egypt joined us

The vibrant running community in Egypt, particularly in Upper Egypt, faced significant challenges in organization and accessibility. Enthusiasts and clubs struggled to connect efficiently, with information scattered across various informal channels like WhatsApp groups. This disunity created a barrier to participation, hindering the growth and cohesion of the local running scene. People often remained unaware of nearby runs, community events, or available clubs, leading to missed opportunities for engagement and a fragmented experience for runners.

Seif Elkady, operating as a solo founder and developer, identified this critical need and developed Pacefyndr. Leveraging a modern tech stack comprising React Native for cross-platform mobile development and Supabase for backend services, Elkady meticulously crafted an intuitive application designed to centralize the Upper Egyptian running community. Pacefyndr offers a unified platform for runners to discover and register for events, locate and join clubs, and connect with fellow enthusiasts. The application's core functionality enables efficient event browsing, club listings, and a streamlined registration process, effectively transforming a disparate collection of individuals and groups into a cohesive digital community.

The immediate impact of Pacefyndr was remarkable, demonstrating the profound need for such a solution. Within a mere few weeks of its launch, the application successfully onboarded 700 members, a significant portion of the target demographic. This rapid adoption underscored the platform's utility and user-friendliness. Furthermore, Pacefyndr attracted 14 prominent running clubs from across Upper Egypt, integrating them into the digital ecosystem and providing them with a centralized hub for outreach and event management. This rapid expansion, achieved within a challenging one-month timeline by a single developer, highlights the efficiency of the chosen technological approach and the clarity of the project’s vision.
